Power star Pawan Kalyan gave the much-needed break to Puri Jagannath when he okayed the director’s debut script Badri. The film was a blockbuster and Puri subsequently penned several scripts like “Itlu Sravani Subramanyam”, “Idiot”, “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi”, etc. with powerstar. However, things did not materialize and Ravi Teja carved a niche for himself by grabbing all those films.
When Puri completed writing Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, he first narrated the script to Ravi Teja four years back. But the actor denied doing the film and further advised the director to go ahead with Power star Pawan Kalyan for greater magnitude and range. Puri obliged and later narrated the script to Pawan and got his nod in his first sitting itself.
